  • Irrigation Winterization: Completed during the last week of October.

  • Repairs: Valves and leaks within the allocated irrigation technician time.

  • Valve Controller Update: Replace valve decoder that are inoperable at the main controller. Replace battery battery-powered controllers used by the last contractor.

    Maintenance Schedule

  • December: Ongoing cutting back of decorative grasses and leaf cleanup until the end of December.

  • January: No scheduled work.

  • February: Cleaning ditches and maintaining firebreaks behind residential fences in ditch areas.

    March – April:

    • Finish cutting back decorative grasses.

    • Begin minor tree pruning.

    • Start addressing pitch moth infestations in evergreens.

      Tree Health & Irrigation Forecast Tree Health:

    • Trees in front yard areas may require heavier pruning to prevent interference with structures or driveways.

      Pest Control:

    • A pest control program may be needed for some trees. This will be evaluated in late spring.

      Irrigation Adjustments:

    • Drip irrigation systems may need reconfiguration in the future to accommodate tree growth.

    • This is a labor-intensive project, and a per-tree estimate will be proposed when needed.
